Joshua Prince-Ramus, Founder REX Interview

"no one can teach you how to be creative.
but they can teach you to be self-critical. in school you
should focus on learning to be self-critical and on
contracts (laughs). spend most of your time
- if you're in architecture school - over at the law school
or the business school because that's where you're going
to learn tools"

remember that conversation about magazine publishing?

I stumbled across this great infographic from GOOD showing who owns what. Keep in mind it's from 2007, so they've probably conglomerated more...

Shamefully, I knew very little about this,

http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia_701610398/Enron_Scandal.html

I've been looking for a good source that breaks it down well that isnt Wikipedia...this is the best I could find so far, if anyone knows of a better one let me know,

I think an interesting part of this article, linked into our class, is what it says about "creative accounting". Quote: "To avoid reporting its mounting losses and to give the appearance of rapid earnings growth, Enron undertook creative accounting" .

Anyone else find this as interesting as I do??
